At Beauty by Kat, we understand that beauty is personal and individual and we’ll help achieve the look you have imagined. Whether in the salon or on location, Kat will work with you to design and create an incredible look for your important day. She can design for a one-stop look or follow you throughout the big day to touch up for those oh-so-important photos.

Whether it is wedding makeup application or styling for senior pictures, Kat understands the benefit and value in choosing quality products and tools. By consistently learning about, testing, and adding excellent tools and products to her kit, she stays on top of industry trends and applications. As an artist, Kat believes that not only are the tools and products important but so are the conditions of those items. She maintains a clean and sanitary kit for both the health of her clients and as a professional standard.
Kat’s passion is deeply rooted in her love for creating beauty and is further amplified by the intense dedication she has to exceeding the expectations of her clients. As a premier Sioux Falls Hair and Makeup artist, Kat carries out the vision to heighten the individual beauty, confidence, and spirit within each of her clients.

About Kat
With a life long attraction to all things sparkly and glamorous, Kat knew where she wanted to be. After graduating from LaJames College of Cosmetology, she began working for Glamour Shots. With roles as a makeup artist, makeup trainer, hairstylist, and photographer, Kat became proficient in a variety of creative tasks.
In 2007, she took that proficiency and, along with a partner, created The Beauty Room in Sioux Falls, SD. As co-owner, she takes pride in both the success of her business and also in making each of her clients look and feel amazing.
With a husband, two kids, 3 cats, and a tankful of fish, Kat loves sharing her piece of Midwestern suburbia with those she loves. When time allows, she’ll curl up at home with a scary book or make a dent in her Netflix movie queue. And her passion for glamour doesn’t end with her beauty profession, she confesses that her guilty pleasure is watching pageants and dreaming of being a judge. While she does follow all things beauty on Instagram to learn about and try all the newest things, she also admits to following cats (and we’re not talking the musical).
